VANET VANET means Vehicular Ad Hoc Network. Definition: A VANET is a  technology that uses moving cars as nodes in a network to create a mobile network.It's an emerging new technology to integrate the capabilities of new generation wireless networks to vehicles. It is a sub form of MANET that provides communication between vehicles and vehicles and road-side base stations with an  aim of providing efficient and safe transportation. Application Of VANET:   VANET has vast application.Some of these are-- 1.Warning about accidents,violation of traffic signals,wrong way driving and much more. 2.Information about near by restaurant,hotels and gas stations,play on-line game and access the internet. 3.Electronic brake lights,which allow a driver to react to vehicles braking even though they they might be obscured. 4.Traffic information systems,which use VANET communication to provide up-to-the minute obstacle reports to a vehicles's satellite navigation system.
